Unlike the competition, the Mimaki GP-604D can print on both light and dark garments with no preparation process. The GP-604D can print directly on sewn goods like ready-made t-shirts with no messy setup. It is a simple and useful printer that can be used as a full color printer and a discharge printer, using a newly developed discharging ink.

Print On Demand
The GP-604D uses non-screen and digital printing techniques which enable the designer to create samples and to support a small lot production on the fly. Due to on-demand production workflow, redundant stocks are not necessary. In addition, screen storage space is not required because of non-screen techniques. Simple resize designs to match any t-shirt size. The print area is determined by the user or customer. You can print neatly on garments’ front and back panels, collars, and sleeves, which aren’t available by traditional silk screen techniques.

Enables Printing on Dark Garments
An organically-dyed t-shirt can be printed on with vibrant colors using the discharge ink. For the first time, a newly developed discharge ink supports ink-jet printers; this allows for printing on dark color t-shirts. Gradations are also easy to do, which expands characteristics of an ink-jet printer. Once the garment is heat set, you will see the colors “jump” out of the dark garment.

Soft Textured T-Shirt that Maintains Breathability
The GP-604D uses a dedicated textile pigment (TP) ink. A softer finish which differs from thermal-transfer or silk-screen printing can be obtained. TP Ink is safe and contains very low levels or formaldehyde. It does not impair air permeability or the water-absorbing properties of fabrics. Printed fabric keeps a very pleasant feel. Because of a special binder, only heating after printing can complete this job.

I won’t need to do research at a trade show or on the internet.

There is only one call I will need to make and that is to Midwest Distributors."
